Instead of "giving something up for Lent" we're encouraged to take something up for Lent, something that will bring us closer in our relationship with God. Perhaps this will be praying intentionally every day, perhaps spending time reading the Bible daily. Perhaps you choose to attend an extra worship service, or to learn more about mission and outreach in our local area. Perhaps you will write a psalm to the Lord or compose another praise. Palms will be blessed and distributed during the 10:00 worship service of Holy Communion.
Maundy Thursday is April 13, 2017
In a 7:00pm service of great beauty we celebrate the Institution of the Eucharist and close in meditation and prayer at the Altar of Repose that reminds us of the Garden of Gethsemane.
Good Friday is April 14, 2017
7:00 pm Liturgy of Good Friday with sermon tells the story of our salvation by Jesus Christ.
Holy Saturday is April 15, 2017
Beginning at 7:00 with the Lighting of New Fire outside the church, hear God's plan for Salvation and celebrate.
Easter is Sunday, April 16
The Resurection of Jesus Christ is celebrated at 10:00am. Light luncheon to follow.
